Beginning October 1, 2020, LADOT will resume parking enforcement and impounds, when applicable, for street cleaning, abandoned vehicles, oversize and overnight restrictions, peak hour and anti-gridlock zones, and expired registration.
At our August 3 meeting we had a lively discussion about the challenges for our students and families who use the foot bridge across the wash at Chase to get to Noble Avenue Elementary. The area has been impacted by homeless and drug dealers creating an unsafe environment for students. Various options have been considered in the past and progress has been hampered by multiple government agencies having jurisdiction. The topic is being picked up by Council President Nury Martinez, as reported by her representative Andres Sandoval. We are hoping to have good news to report soon about next steps.

L.A. Sanitation’s S.A.F.E. Collection Centers will reopen on July 11, 2020 for household hazardous waste and electronic waste drop-off.
On May 8 Safer at Home becomes Safer LA allowing the opening of florists, toy stores, music stores, bookstores, clothing and sporting goods stores to offer curbside pickup. Trails will open May 9.

North Hills East Neighborhood Council was commended for partnering with two other Neighborhood Councils to provide Community Emergency Response Team training classes in English and Spanish and provide the participants with emergency kits.
