Free Tax Preparation

If you made under $60,000 in 2022, our professionally trained volunteers can prepare and electronically file your federal and state income tax returns for free at the Pacoima Library, the Panorama City Library, Mid Valley Regional Library, MEND Pacoima or CSUN.

The LA Budget Advocates held a Town Hall for the City Controller candidates on April 10. If you missed it, you can watch it at your convenience to hear directly from the candidates and decide who to vote for.

Swim Season is Here

Pools will begin opening for Summer 2021 starting Monday, June 14. Swim lessons will be offered with reduced capacity at Ritchie Valens Recreation Center, Sylmar Recreation Center, Hubert Humphrey Park, and Hansen Dam Park.

If you have lost income due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you may be eligible to receive a one-time, $500 check to help pay utility bills. Funding is limited. Online Applications accepted from November 2 through November 22, 2020.

Bring toiletries to help women survivors of human trafficking by donating shampoo, conditioner and more. Please no travel size products. We will be collecting them at our February 3 meeting.

The North Hills East Neighborhood Council is passionate about creating community and providing opportunities for kids to gather and have fun at safe events. We organized an activity day in the park where kids had a great time making slime and jewelry.
