At our August 3 meeting we had a lively discussion about the challenges for our students and families who use the foot bridge across the wash at Chase to get to Noble Avenue Elementary. The area has been impacted by homeless and drug dealers creating an unsafe environment for students. Various options have been considered in the past and progress has been hampered by multiple government agencies having jurisdiction. The topic is being picked up by Council President Nury Martinez, as reported by her representative Andres Sandoval. We are hoping to have good news to report soon about next steps.
